Not Found: A Unique Display Font for Handmade Labels, Invitations, and More

As I sat down to design a new line of candle labels for my seasonal shop, I knew I needed a font that felt personal, yet polished. That’s when I discovered Not Found—a Display font that blends casual energy with a classy finish. From the moment I typed out the first label, I knew this was the right fit for my brand’s visual story.

Not Found for Candle Labels and Product Packaging

When you’re creating physical products like candles, your packaging is often the first impression a customer gets. I used Not Found for my lavender soy candle labels and was instantly drawn to how its quick, handwritten style gave the product a handmade feel while still looking professional. The font’s natural variation in stroke weight adds a sense of movement, making it ideal for short phrases, brand names, and scent titles.

What I love most is how it pairs beautifully with clean sans serif fonts for secondary text, keeping the overall design balanced and easy to read. Whether you're printing on kraft paper or glossy sticker sheets, Not Found holds up well at small sizes and cuts cleanly on Cricut or Silhouette machines.

Not Found in Wedding Invitations and Elegant Branding

I recently designed a set of rustic-chic wedding invitations for a local bride, and Not Found became the star of the suite. I used it for the couple’s names and venue title, giving the design a soft, romantic touch. The font’s casual elegance works especially well for modern, boho, or farmhouse-style weddings.

It’s also a great option for boutique packaging or boutique tags. I used it on a set of cotton clothing tags for a small apparel shop and found it gave the brand a signature look that customers could instantly recognize. Because it’s a display font, it’s best reserved for titles, names, and accents rather than long paragraphs—but that’s exactly what makes it stand out.

Creating Greeting Cards and Planner Pages with Not Found

When I’m prepping digital downloads for my Etsy shop, I always test fonts across different formats. Not Found has been a go-to for greeting cards, birthday tags, and planner inserts. It brings a warm, approachable tone to digital stationery sets, especially when paired with minimalist line art or soft watercolor textures.

One of my favorite uses was a set of gratitude journal printables. I used Not Found for the headings and paired it with a simple serif font for the prompts. The result was a cohesive, calming design that sold well during the holiday season.

Not Found for Seasonal Tags and Holiday Packaging

During the holiday rush, I needed a font that could carry across gift tags, ornament labels, and mug wraps. Not Found delivered the charm I was after. I created a series of “Merry & Bright” tags and found that the font’s quick, casual strokes gave a sense of handwritten authenticity that shoppers love.

It also scaled beautifully across different media. I used it in both SVG and PNG formats for digital cut files and printed it on matte sticker paper for physical tags. The font includes alternate characters and ligatures, which let me customize each tag for a slightly different look without repeating the same phrase.

Pairing Not Found with Other Fonts for Visual Harmony

One of the best parts of working with Not Found is how well it plays with others. Because it’s a decorative display font, I often pair it with more structured fonts to create contrast and balance. Here are a few combinations I’ve used in real projects:

  1. Not Found + Montserrat – modern and clean with a touch of whimsy
  2. Not Found + Playfair Display – elegant and timeless for luxury branding
  3. Not Found + Allura – double script for wedding or boutique designs

These pairings help maintain a professional look while still showcasing the personality of Not Found. When designing product mockups or packaging, I always preview the font in both light and bold weights to see which gives the best readability and visual impact.

Using Not Found for Digital Wall Art and Social Media Graphics

If you create digital wall art or quote posters, Not Found is a dream to work with. I recently used it in a “Hello Sunshine” printable that I posted on Instagram and Pinterest. The font’s casual strokes gave the design a hand-painted feel, and I received several messages from followers asking where I got the font.

It’s also a great choice for quote templates, social media highlights, and digital mood boards. Since it’s a display font, I use it only for short phrases or titles, keeping the body text in a simpler, more legible font. This helps maintain a clean visual hierarchy while letting the font shine where it matters most.

What to Know Before Using Not Found in Commercial Projects

If you're planning to use Not Found in your handmade shop, printables, or merchandise, always check the font’s licensing terms. Most quality fonts include commercial use rights, but it’s worth confirming before you sell physical products or digital templates.

Also, make sure to review what styles, ligatures, and alternate characters are included. Some versions of Not Found offer stylistic sets, swashes, and multilingual support, which can be a bonus if you create products for international audiences or need special characters for names and phrases.
